Hi there, I’m so glad you made it to my site. I’ve spent the better part of my adult life interested in psychology and how the mind works, from getting a specialist degree in psychology at the University of Toronto, to a Masters in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I have experience on the Peel Distress Line, and Family Transition Place as a volunteer, and have spent over 20 years (in another career) listening to clients share their stories with me.
Most recently I was an intern with Canadian Mental Health and was able to serve a very diverse clientele. Mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, and PTSD were among those I treated there. My current focus is helping individuals and couples with their relationships and mood disorders.
My clients tell me that they’ve shared with me things they have never told anyone before. They can see that I do not judge, and would not be shocked by anything they say. So if you are struggling with anything that you cannot tell another soul, then we might be good fit for therapy.

Perhaps you think a therapist is someone who is boring or detached. You won’t get that with me, I have a good sense of humour and will infuse that into your sessions where appropriate. Feel like you need to use the F-word in a session? No problem here, you can speak your mind in your normal voice, no need for false faces, just let it all hang out. Just be you; then we can get to the heart of things in a timely fashion. I know it can be a bit nerve-wracking meeting a new therapist for the first time, but I will try to put you at ease as soon as I can, and we can go from there.
